    I slit my hand open on it last summer.  No more.  If you’re missing one of these caps, get it replaced.

    No oil pressure port motor. SmartCraft alarms went crazy. Not just a sensor problem.
    Mechanic hoping he can replace the distributor & get the oil pump going again. If not engine coming out. Crap sakes. 
    Mid summer go figure……

    Low hours & meticulous care…..pfffft!

    Well after a week and a half the boat got polished mid-season.  My Bravo 3 X drive got rebuilt and I installed the drive showers.  The last thing was to install the table my son made me at school.  I did add the cup holders @skennelly used and it looks really good.  At least it got put in last Friday and we could enjoy for the weekend!!

    What brand drive showers? Did you overheat one...thus the rebuild?

    @mattie Thanks on the table...  No the drive lower end lost teeth in forward gears and reverse gears amazing the drive still worked they were saying so it was blowing oil due to metal going everywhere causing heat build-up..  I believe I inherited this problem as that drive was always noisy since I got the boat and always had an oil leak which I thought was the engine.  Anyways the guys down by you Luken Marine who are the best as I hear at rebuilding drives mentioned it would not hurt to have drive showers.  I got mine from Simrek the Halo Max.  Piece of mine as I like to drive a little quick once in a while>> :)

    @GMSLITHO sorry, I replied but didn’t hit post apparently. About 2 hours allowing for slowing up for the boat clubs. Left Kingston City Marina at 08:40 and was docked at 10:40 at Coeymans. Passed 2 barges and pushers heading south and a bulk carrier ship heading north just south of Hudson.

    In August we would go the the antique boat show up in Kingston on Round out creek was about a 4-5  hour ride from Stony Point on my dads old boat

    I had a broken switch actuator from late last season. I finally got around to ordering a new set from New Wire Marine.

    @goalie59 what was wrong with your old windlass? I may want it for parts if it's compatible with mine. There is also some others that may be in need of parts more than me.

    sorry , I gave it to a friend. If he decides he has no use for it then sure I would love someone on this forum to have it although it had a lot of issues. The gypsy was worn , excessive starter draw , worn clutch.I needed a fast repair so I replaced it. Too bad it didn’t fail in a couple of months as I maybe could have sourced out the pieces. I will keep you posted.

    @goalie59 what windlass did you have? If it was a horizon 600, what was wrong with it? Can I have it for parts?

    Greg. I have it to a friend. I will ask him if he needs it or just wants to play with it. The motor has excessive draw, clutch is worn and Gypsy teeth are also worn. I needed a quick fix or I would have tried to repair it. Too bad it didn’t give out in a few months

    Bought a new project boat was supposedly sunk on shore… not a lot water in the engine dumped fogging oil in each cylinder but most of it blew out when Turing it over… so power washed out the hull (lots of lake crap in it) then turned it over again lots of mixed fuel came out on the cloth so put the plugs in and it started right up… how long will the engine last not sure but it works good so far… so then cleaned the hull and seats which turned out really good.  Fixed a hole in the tube and took it for a test run.   Will need professional tube repair but my quick fix will hold for now 😊
