Re: Free Clarion CMD5
We've wrestled with it, they have a few levels ranging from $1k - $3k per year so its not that expensive for what you get when you are there. The more popular membership which gets you full access, but you can't make dock reservations until the Weds before the weekend has always been $1k/yr and went to $1500 this year. Issue is that PIB gets so darn crowded on the weekends that its better to go during the week anyway, and no membership needed there.
The Keys will take non members on the weekends and is first come, first served so if you call in Friday and they have an opening they will take you for the weekend.
For decades I would only do mooring balls. It's pretty awesome out there, but now that I've got bells and whistles I like to be plugged in to use them 24/7

Re: Free Clarion CMD5
Hey Greg - no problem I can look at shipping. Would you want to wait until you are here and try to do a hand off then? Or need it sooner? Happy to hang on to it until Aug. Awesome that you are headed this way, so far the islands have not been very busy so you may be able to get in to a dock over the weekend.
Mattie I went with the ms-ra60. Essentially the least expensive unit that would work with my Garmin watch lol. Very happy with it. Was easy to install, works well with my amp and sub, JL's in the cockpit sound good. Wife loves being able to control everything on her phone and I did two wireless remotes, one at the helm and one at the cockpit bar. I have a Garmin Quatix 6 watch so with it's fusion lite app I can control the stereo from my watch too.

Re: Rinker 350/360 2007+ Random Topics
I will keep adding fluid so it doesn’t run dry. Will report back.

Edit: marina sold out of trim fluid so this is on the later list.
Did manage to convert the flip-down “drawer” to a real drawer. Way more useful now. Need to find a good organizer that will work around the drain cut-out.

Re: What did you do to your boat today
Just hit 99F with a heat index of 106F. Went about a mile offshore and temp dropped about 30 degrees. Probably from the 60F water temp. It's a beautiful day to be on the boat. Did not want to come back in.

Spongy floor
So now that I have had the entire floor replaced, I know what a solid floor feels like as opposed to what we experienced for the last two seasons! Have attached some pics to show the rot and crack that was just fore of the engine cowling. Repair included replacing the entire floor, ( 3/4 marine plywood, glassed on both sides) and installing a stainless steel plate, bolted through from the underside, under the captain's chair. Bolts were welded to stainless steel braces.
