Re: Hill Marine Props and Fuel Consumption
Tapping was on the port side of the engine. Pulled the valve cover off and several lifters were wobbly. While I was tearing it down my boat neighbour / retired mechanic strolled over and lent a hand. Got the valves adjusted and no more ticking! Was able to turn the engine by the harmonic balancer bolt.
It was such an easy process I think I will do the other banks when I have some free time.

How can anyone dislike this? You can't write comic material like this!! To make it fair, Trump looks like he is half a creature from NarniaPickleRick said:

Re: Alternator Output - What is Normal?
Received and installed (on the port side) one of the two new alternators. Shows 14.8 at idle now, hopefully get her out this weekend to see what it reads at cruise.

Re: Low water pressure, but no overheat
So question when I get PRT EMCT OVRHT alarm. Can I see the value of the sensor on the Port Exhaust coolant temperature or is it just a open close switch set at 212F?
I know my sea pump housing is scored up and is probably cavitating at cruise speed.
I just changed out the Port Sea pump but haven't got a chance to take it out yet.
Attached is the error before pump change, and pic of gage when running as alarm went off. Port engine coolant temp would creep up after 5-10 minutes and alarm PRT EMCT OVRHT would trigger.

            Re: Antifreeze
I made a little hose to connect to the fresh water pump to get the pink stuff in without adding af to the tank. It has fittings for both my fresh water pump and my washdown pump. I dunk the unused end in the jug of af.
In the spring I just fill the fresh water tank (plus some bleach) and let it run.

Mounted a winch in the bow of the dinghy. Now I don’t have to fuss with the Hurley winch which is at best a nuisance.

            Re: Inflating G-5 Polyform fender
@Willhound I reread your post and visited the link you posted.  The valve I have appears to be in the video.  I think I understand now.  Will try to inflate next time up to boat.
Thanks.
            Thanks.
