Re: 30 amp shore power at home.
All it takes is education. Key lesson I told my new home owner son - don’t touch the black as thats the color they’ll wear at your funeral. First thing he relates to me when telling me he did some electrical work.

Re: 30 amp shore power at home.
I have done many of these over the years for numerous reasons outside of boats. I recently did 50 amp 220v plugs at my house for my car. Is this a plug that will power the boat on land? If so you probably don't need that much power and an adapter to a regular outlet would work if your just wanting to operate the charger and some light appliances.

I mounted a flat screen on a swing out mount, folds back flat. Internally it stores my documentation folio and holds 3 wine bottles in foam bottle shipping containers.

Re: How Many Rinker Cruisers on Lake Simcoe?
Maybe the title of this thread should read “how many Rinker cruisers formerly on Lake Simcoe”?!

Re: What did you do to your boat today
This has been bugging me since I bought the boat. Finally got around to finding and replacing missing cap on swim ladder.

Re: Trent Severn Delays
Considering the change in elevation and the presence of the hydro-electric generating station, I'm not sure how else they could do it? A hydraulic lift like at Peterborough ? There's not enough of a ridge of land to install traditional locks unless they dig a huge canal around the whole thing which will never happen between privately held land, environmental concerns and the fact that although an economic boost from recreational boating, the system actually loses money hand over fist. There has been growing resentment/opposition to the entire system from people who see it as their tax dollars supporting a "rich" persons boating habit. Only intense lobbying from the communities and businesses along the way keep the entire thing open at all.

Re: Trent Severn Delays
I would happily pay an annual boat registration fee to support initiatives like modernizing the locks. It is crazy that there is no annual registration fee.
Ideally, my proposed fee would treated like school system funding (public vs catholic) where you direct the funds to the region of your preference. I also think the fee to use the locks is much too low.

Understood, the system looks awesome @Squatch68 - can’t wait to hear how it all performs.
