Re: Rinker 310 EC Swim Light switch?
@oscar1 I used IP67 lights and tapped into the cockpit light circuit as there are lots of extra connectors in the harness. Blue wire with black stripe.

I added a switch so that they are not always on with the cockpit lights.

Re: Pulling a tube

We were successful. Nothing bad happened except my guinea pig son inhaling a lot of spray.

Re: Travel time and mileage
Our 2004 232 has a 75 gallon fuel tank. Not sure on your year but if it has the 75 gallon tank that should give a nice range. We have same engine & drive. It is very good on fuel.

Re: Travel time and mileage
Hey Alan,
For reference your 232 with the 5.7L should be just over 3+ mpg @ 27-30mph.
As Liberty said, careful in Lake Huron. Big water that changes fast. Make sure you have good weather for a couple days if you overnight in Lexington.

Re: Travel time and mileage
I've done Port Huron and Lexington but my mileage wont be comparable. I dont think that you will have any issues with Port Huron as you will be in the river all the way. Lexington is 20 miles out in the lake but if its a nice flat day I dont see why 20 miles from Port Huron would be a problem for you. I'd recommend checking out the St Clair Boat Basin. It's in the middle of the St Clair river and is a really cool spot. It's a Michigan state park marina. Very short walk in to a nice little town. We jumped in the river and floated down it like a lazy river and had a blast.

Re: Rinker 232 Captiva BR Swim Platform
Boltzie42, I am picking up the same platform in a couple of weeks direct from the Rinker factory. What size crate did that come in? I am trying to figure if I need a trailer or just the 6 1/2 foot bed of the truck. Traveling from Detroit to Indiana.Boltzie42 said:I purchased an original swim platform from Rinker. I was assuming there would be at least two support poles from the platform to the bottom of the transom. None were included and there weren't any lag bolts either in the package.
Rinker is telling me that for the 232 Captiva, no support poles are required for the install, just the nine 3/8" bolts that will be drilled through the back hull. Can someone please provide a photo of your OEM Rinker Swim Platform for verification.
I've attached some pictures of the platform and one that I found on the internet but I cannot tell if support poles are installed.
Thanks.
