Yes hole where wires come out is normal

No hose clamp on cooling hose normal

Shift cable?? Disconnect linkage on motor to make sure which cable is stiff. Its not a good thing to shift a bravo drive while not running. If you take cap off the back of the drive the gear lube will come out. If the out drive is off then you will know if its the cable or the drive.

Thanks Aero!  I guess I have an old cool fuel on starboard side and a newer one port side.

My shifting is ok, it's just throttle that's sticking.  My outdrives are off right now for replacement of bellows etc. and I have been installing a new control (binnacle) so I know it's the throttle cable that's the problem.

Is there a good contact at Rinker to ask questions like throttle cable length?  I miss Four Winns for this - they have a parts look-up system just like Mercury that gives all this type of info online.  Plus full model-specific wiring diagrams, etc.

By the way - Purple Power is awesome!  Between it and brake cleaner, I can make things look brand new!

Crappy pic but I need to find an AC connector like the ones at the back of this pic (yellow) to add another circuit to the panel. Any suggestions on where to find this?

Update on this - the connectors are Molex brand, and the bow thruster was completely pre-wired from the panel to the v-berth!  All I had to do was add a 110v outlet and done :)

Aero, on my starboard engine, the cool fuel box is right up against the fibreglass where the genny sits - is yours like this too?

@YYZRC , I didn’t see any markings on the port throttle cable.

I tried to follow the white hose but can’t see much once it goes up and into the bulkhead. I did verify that the AC pan does drain to the forward starboard drain. Only thing I can think of is it’s a drain hose for under the throttle area. When I get some free time I’ll pull some panels to figure it out.

Aero, are you doing plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc?

I’ve done impellers, fuel filters and belts. Now debating ignition system. I also need to flush the seacore heat exchangers.

I’m definitely going to do cap and rotor, I have records from the previous owner with plugs changed every season. My boat sat from June to September, so plugs are still good. I’m also thinking about changing the wires. I’m probably going to buy a spare IAC valve to keep onboard since it’s a common failure.

Any reason not to just replace the IACs preemptively? They seem to be sub-$100.

Figure I’ll just use the old ones till they fail, easy 2 screw replacement.

Aero, do your windlass switches look like this? Trying to figure out if these were OEM or not...

Yes, they do look like that. I have Lewmar switches that I’m going to change over to. I was going to buy the ones with stainless covers but thought they would look a little odd. Below are the ones I’m going to install.

I installed those on my old FW, they were a lot nicer than what we have now.  Do you know if the bolt pattern is the same?

I believe they are, I remember researching that. It would surprise me if they weren’t the same hole pattern. I hate drilling holes when not needed!

Pretty sure those are Quick brand foot switches.

Search "QUICK NAUTICAL EQUIPMENT MOD 900 FOOTSWITCH" on ebay. Get them in black or white.

Thanks Mattie, yes, I found them on Amazon for about $40 CAD for the pair.

I've ordered them to see what the quality is like.

Some of those are hard to tell. They do look similar. Replaced the ones on our Four Winns as well. There was no fixing the originals. Cheap redo. Takes 10 min to be all new again.

Kinda like the stainless covered ones, but on our deck the white blended in better.

See that now, looks like the switches you fellas are messing with have 3 mount screws vs 4 on the Quick brand.

@Aero - I saw a previous thread where you patched some holes in the helm of your old boat.  How does the helm color compare between your old boat and the 330?  I ask because Rinker tells me that the color of our dash is 4029 "Dark Tan" which is only available in 1 gallon cans from Spectrum.
