You might be able to find a hub that’s thinner. I can’t remember if there will be enough room to put the center cap back on though. Contact Isotta and let them know what your looking for or want to do, maybe they can help you. The model steering wheel you have is the Isotta Carlotta.
This is what your hub looks like. It’s possible you can have that top section milled down. Again, you will have to take notice if there will be enough room for you center cap to be installed with the extra material removed.
If you go ahead and have this done and it doesn’t work out how you want, Hardin marine sells new hubs. These can’t be milled, there’re a different design. I had to order a new one because some of the bolts were corroded in and snapped. I was able to remove a couple but not all of the broken screws.
What a nightmare of a task to remove the seawater pumps on a SeaCore engine because of the air fittings. The port motor water pump bracket had a tab on it (“had” because it has now been ground off) that wouldn’t let it slide past the harmonic balancer without removing the cool fuel box. Starboard side tab had already been removed so that was a 20 minute job.
On the plus side (?!), I found a bad alternator and a bad pulley so I will fix that stuff up.
Aero, on my starboard engine, the cool fuel box is right up against the fibreglass where the genny sits - is yours like this too?
I don’t understand why those tabs are on some brackets. Both of my brackets didn’t have them and there were no signs of them being ground off, strange. Yes, starboard side is up against the fiberglass. I didn’t have to remove it so not sure how difficult it is to get out.
My studs came out with the bracket so pump came out easy. But I never gound that tab off os next time I'll have to loosen the fuel module. I also leave the back connected and take the 10mm bolts out and the front housing.
No, one hose to the sea strainer and other to tramsom. In do have air fittings for the horizon set up.
Do you have the old style design (no wear plate)? One of mine is old style and the other is newer with the wear plate. There’s some scoring on the old version and I’m debating replacing it or having the face milled down. The part is hyper expensive
I do know that in order for me to get the blue drain plug out, I have to remove the screw for the clamp that supports the white drain hose that’s in the pic (clamp is behind the wire harness).
I can't find a vendor that has the template for the 330/340 cockpit carpet - any suggestions? I really don't want to be bothered shipping my old carpet to be templated.

Any recommendations on a really good degreaser to clean the bilge?
