Never thought I’d want fender racks, but our “trunk” was constantly full and the admiral wanted more space back there for other things so new rack and new fenders on Presidents’ Day :)

we do have one more large fender stored beneath the main salon floor, and two very large inflatable fenders deflated in the cockpit.

Good idea. I don't mind that deck cannon look.
Didn't know you could get Big B's in that color. Match the hull sides.

Well, I uncovered the boat and went for a ride today!  Wow was it a beautiful day!  And she couldn’t have rode any better!!  It was so hot that I had to take my shirt off (didn’t take short sleeve or shorts - pants were off too under the cover, but figured no wanted to see that when the cover came off! lol). Has to be the warmest uncovering day for me in my 25 years of.boating!

20’ Grady and one of the 15’ Whalers got bottom painted. Pulled a through hull on the 36’ Pacemaker to replace it. Looking forward to warmer weather

Just got my rear cushions redone as they were tearing the seam from using them as a step to attach the canvas and we entertain a lot

Looks like great craftsmanship! I had mine redone as well.

    Better get a 'Seat Step'.
We got one last season & use it all the time.
Great for upper canvas install & guests stepping on boat from community docks.
    Saves all the seat stitching....

Pulled the cover off the Rinker and changed the key switch. Wintering it last season found that the key switch would do a full 360 rotation so it needed a change

Overhauled port aftercooler , turbocharger and replaced transmission cooler lines. Everyone with inboards should check the condition of their transmission cooler lines. We had a boat in the marina burn up from a ruptured hose.

I pulled the starboard LH exhaust manifold because I had an exhaust leak. The elbow was so corroded and plugged I went ahead and pulled both sides. I haven’t replaced the starboard side since I owned the boat, I believe they were replaced July of 2018 if I remember correctly from my records. I can probably get away with just replacing the elbows but might as well do manifolds and risers as well. I replaced the port side 3 years ago. It’s a good split between the sides and will help keep costs down and not have to replace both sides port and starboard at the same time. I’ll be picking up the new parts tomorrow.

@PickleRick the all thread that you gave me came in handy again! Thanks👍🏻 . I was only able to use one up against the generator side but it definitely helped get the manifold off. And I know they will make life easy putting the manifolds back on.

Be sure to clean the poppet valves while they are out. You should be able to hear the small valve roll around freely in the housing.

Thanks @earl1z19 ! I actually noticed the noise of the valve rolling around when I pulled the manifolds. When I take the poppet valve off, I’ll make sure to clean them out.

They get funky not just on the inside of the housing but around the threads where they go screw into the manifold. Those things are just about $500 each but they sell a rebuild kit for them. The gunk seems to be exhaust gas and possibly oil, I just sprayed mine with carb cleaner until it ran clear and nothing remained sticky. These are key to controlling the water flow through the manifold and maintaining a safe operating temperature.

Prepped all the new parts and they’re ready for install. The poppet valves were pretty clean, just a little build up that I scraped out.

The Rinker. Still have a small armada though: 36', 20', two 15's, 2 Waverunners, and 4 small sailboats (3 Opti sailboats going up for sale soon as the kids outgrew them)

I'm content with the current fleet (for the moment)- plus another 17' whaler, 30 pursuit, and 35 bertram I have access to.

I’m seeing conflicting info for exhaust and elbow bolt torque specs. Does anyone know a good answer? I think final torque for the exhaust manifold is 25 ft. lbs not sure about the elbow bolts?
