What did you do to your boat today

Yeah, agreed that it's not cheap. I have a drill pump but its awkward to use (one hand on the pump, one hand on the drill - otherwise the drill pump spins and yanks the water line). Totally fine for doing ACs but no good for trying to winterize a jet boat on your own.

@YYZRC it’s such a pain to lift, it’s so heavy!! I used to lift it in the yard but gave up on it. It can be done with 2 people but 3 is best.

Yea, I usually figure out a way to do anything by myself. When we get to the dock, my wife always asks me if she can help...i basically just try to get her out of the way so she doesn't get hurt.

Having never been around a boat yard. I'm always amazed and suspicious how boats stay secure on a few points on those stands. I had assumed a lift of some sort , the big rolling ones to get them out of the water- while setting them down on the stands. How did you move your boat and how the heck did you get it on the stands? I've never understood how the hulls handle the stress of sometimes i see 3 points....and then have a nore eastern come thru with 60 mph winds....I'm just a fl boy for sure..

Was thinking the same thing looking pictures of these large cruisers sitting on a few stands

Most of the weight is on the blocks in the middle, with the outside jack stands keeping balance and some weight.  But yes, I agree it just doesn't look right.

I hire a hauler with a hydraulic trailer. He can position the boat up and down and sits it on the keel blocks. Then the stands help keep it upright.

I replaced the power steering cooler today. Since it was out, it was a perfect time to clean the ground terminals on the back of the block. It was pretty easy to access the cooler with the intake off but still awkward. I’m going to clean the port side grounds when I get a chance.

I replaced the steering actuator this morning. Not a tough job but the hardest part is getting the lower mounting bolt out and back in. I think since my intake is out, it made it easier to get back there. It’s hard to see in the pic but the holes for the pins were slightly elongated and there was slop.
