Good day for upgrades. Added new faucets on deck and head thanks to @diggin2day1 and @J3ff . Head faucet must have been leaking because replacing it solved my problem of water pump coming on every few minutes!
@Willhound I prefer Garmin too. Had a 4208 on my FV280. The 342 had the HDS5 with sonar so I was not in a hurry to replace it even though I didn't care for it. I have other Garmin devices so now they can all share.
I found the 721 on The GPS Store for $599 shipped. They bundled in the Bluecharts G2 (not vision) for that price. I "think" the only difference between the 721 and the 741 is that the 721 came without charts.
Sweet! And if you get that Vision chip from @zaverin1 I think you'll like the auto-guidance feature. Lot more detail to the maps also, and depending on the model there's a 3D view of bottom contour. Handy for finding fishing spots.
changed joker valve. getting smarter at this, now on my 3rd one - first time didn't pump out prior and definitely covered myself in pi$$. fresh pump out and multiple washdowns made the little bit of fluid pretty minimal and not gross.
also cleaned out spider nests/junk from the horn, and tweaked the screws a bit to make it go from a comically wussy sounding blat to a more respectable blat. new horn purchase avoided.
also swam in 73.5 deg dead calm water overlooking the skyline. beautiful.
How do you adjust the horn? Mines a dinky sound too, always wished it was louder.
I had to replace the very first part that has failed on my boat. All of a sudden my down trim was not working, only up. Luckily I caught it before going up too far and not getting on plane, as I was 90 miles from home.
Had a marine mechanic buddy come out and diagnose for me, it was a bad trim pump solenoid. Apparently there is a separate one for up & down. $25, some scraped fingers, and a couple beers later I'm back in business.
Joe, if you ever get stuck and the solenoid doesn't work, you can just jumper across it to make the drive go back down. Just be aware there may be some spark, so make sure there are no fumes.
Here's a pic of some space in my ER....Definitely gotta enjoy having space to work on things!
Joe that would be a great boat to stroke the 350 Mag into a 383 with through hulls!
That would be the plan when its due. I've got 300 hours on it now, so at this rate it wont be far off! Its only a 2013.
So Tuesday I enjoyed the hottest day of the summer up here in Detroit, 94*, sunny, and 5mph breeze! It was the perfect day out there. Just a friend, btw.

No one is feeling sorry for your lack of engine room space when you have 40 grand worth of motors in there. LOL

I never got to enjoy my 20's like this, so I'm making up for lost time a little. LOL
Learned that during the first marriage.
