Back on topic. This weekend had a great day with just one of my dogs. He turned 8 years old and loves the boat. He got a bunch of swimming time, a bacon cheeseburger, and lots of attention at the waterfront bar I frequent. Best wing man ever.
Oh man, I couldn't imagine being tucked away until May! I've got only 4 more weeks (some go into December, but it is nice having it done before the holidays). But the "May" part would just be too long to wait. Hoping to be in in early March. For being the shortest month, February always feels the longest!
On Topic, I changed my gear lube on Sunday. Enjoyed relaxing in the marina over the weekend with other dock friends. Probably going to hang out in the marina most of these last few weekends. The kids will be running around between either Homecoming, football games, or SAT/ACT tests. So, we'll stay in the marina so they can come back when they are done.
For me it’s 23rd of October and last cruise from summer to winter storage engines are serviced and will receive stable on last fill up for trip to miller going to replace spark plugs and service the drives
@bry1429 there is plenty of year round boating in Arizona. But they are all in the desert, I prefer to live in the Mountains, and I'm only 90 minutes from Lake Powell
@lakebum57....driving back from san diego a few novembers ago it started snowing like crazzy ...i very rarely stop....i saw a red roof inn and just got a room before everyone else did .... the next morning lots of snow....25-50 miles on down the road east..... was no sign of snow
@Lake_Bum - Very nice storage for the boat! Really nice that you can just pull thru. Arizona is a really beautiful place.
@Dream_Inn Thanks! It also has a septic tank, so I can just pull thru with the RV and dump at home. I used to store the boat on the other shorter side, until I installed the wakeboard tower and it wouldn't fit anymore. Now my RV sits in the open, because I'd rather have the boat under there haha. But a huge RV garage is in the plans soon attached to my house. Boat, RV, and assorted other toys will be indoors
That's what happens when you not only get too many toys, but they start getting bigger! Always nice to be able to store them inside and take care of them! & when you can't (like me), you buy a really good custom cover. Taking care of the toys is hard work! I had to add another 2 car garage for my streetrod and wood splitter.
It's slowly wrapping up here in Michigan, but we have had an Indian summer. 80s and sunny in October is rare, and just yesterday had another great day out here.
The weather is definitely nice for this time of year! Going to be in the low 80's this coming weekend! I know it can change quick around here, so I'll change the engine oil out this Friday, then enjoy the boat the rest of the weekend. Nice pics Joe! Is that a new "friend" in the back?
That's my buddies wife, so yes she's a friend, but in the very literal sense . Lol
And yeah it's been a real treat this fall weather-wise, no complaints here. 75 and sunny on Sunday right now, so we'll even get another raft up day I'm sure.
I put some “windows” in my camper top so my arch lights could shine through !
Now theres an idea!!! Mine doesn't have lights there. Even with all the lights in the cupholders I find it dark in the boat, i'll have to add these and do this.
