A lot of people in my area keep bees. Do you just sit it out somewhere and wait for bees to inhabit it?

It’s a Warre beehive. In ag mechanics, the kids build a project, and they have to give a presentation over the product and the process to build it.

No, you buy bees to put in them. We will never actually use them. The project is just building and showing them. If they make sale, they go to the auction and he will get a lot of money.

I had bees for a couple years, they are very interesting to watch and have. I would definitely recommend having hives on your property.

You can actually catch/trap swarms by setting out temporary hives in trees and putting attractant on it. Usually have to set out a few and hope they come in.

@aero3113 you aren't going to get that boat out of there till July. We have about 8 inches now and it's still coming down.

I still dont believe that there are hills and woods in LI NY lol. Have been up and down all of LI for the last 30 years and have never seen a place like this !! You must be in a real gem of a place to have found it! PS. I do miss the snow like this!!

@reneechris14 , I want to say well over 12” and still coming down! Crazy!

@J3ff , we’re in Setauket less than 10 minutes from Port Jefferson. We love it! We can sleigh ride in both the front and back yards and we have woods! Behind the boat, in the woods I have a trail about 30 yards long that leads to a beautiful paved walking path through the woods.

What is your goal for the truck? Rock crawler?

30 plus mpg daily driver that can do the occasional fire road camping trip or trial ride.  My job requires me to haul equipment/parts often, the passat doesn't always have the space.

    No rock crawling for me

998 entries, and these boys are 11 years old, showing against all ages up to seniors in high school. 3rd in their class and reserve champion showmanship overall. They worked their tails off for it and the beehives were a hit. They had people lined up all day to view their project. Even got interviewed by the news.

He came in mouthing at my daughter, with a little sibling rivalry, about how many ribbons he’s won, so she started digging in her drawer to set him straight. Lol
