@YYZRC.....no it wasn't too bad but he had a barn with several big overhead oak beams and used straps wrapped with cotton. They installed the hardtop of my 2014 EC360 at my dealership as it was shipped from the Rinker factory on a plywood skid. It went on pretty fast too. It took 4 guys to line it up but they didn't scratch anything. Biggest concern was to not damage any of the pre wiring for radar and a sat tv.
Fascinating @Michael T - I wondered how they handled shipping boats with hardtops. The skid they built is pretty impressive, I bet on it's own it would be $1000+. It is 2" plywood.
@YYZRC.....Yes the cradle is very impressive. This is my hard top - trucked with the boat on the same truck from the Rinker factory to Ontario for installation on my new (at the time) 2014 EC 360. That cradle was very well built.....just like the Rinkers!
I've been toying around with ordering some significantly larger (5" height) stainless steel RINKER emblems; I think it would modernize the boat. I've had quotes in the $300 range per side. I would size the Rinker logo appropriately and it would face forward on both sides (the armchair graphic designer in me hates that Rinker didn't do that originally...)
New canvas partially up. Got the mount fabricated for the Hurley H3O+
I had a custom mount made for an antenna to replace the stupid cable TV connector as well. I don’t want the antenna on the hardtop as it will interfere with the solar.
