@rasbury- and everyone else for what it's worth.... the new engine showed up yesterday... all crated up in it's brand new beauty... surprise surprise- it came with everything down to the stainless band clamps and elbows... neutral cut off and throttle cable stand... they hubu'd for sure.
Nice pictures Joe....I lived in ND for about 4 years, there sure is a beauty in the snow...but then I did not have to work in it, just ride the school bus!
You'd be surprised how much you sweat snowmobiling. With the right gear you're never cold, unless its below 0 and is windy, then it gets a little chilly.
Believe me if I lived in Florida I would love being able to boat anytime. However, I think having some downtime makes me love and appreciate it that much more. Also, if I didnt have downtime, I would never **** sh$$ done as I am at the boat every weekend!
Same here, I haunt the forum in the off season. Just don't have good stories to share.
Gotta get some snow toys to pass these cold months!
Not really. We have Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then we go on a cruise in February, then the Detroit Boat Show, then it's March and time to start boat prep. No time for snow toys.
i (almost) finished installing the FWC on the brand new engine... I was(am) short two fittings and several clamps... took about two and a half leisurely hours to install it with the engine sitting on a pallet (as opposed to being in the boat)- so not a big deal at all- but then i realized two fittings were missing and a few clamps....
and then what occurred to me next consumed another hour: i was thinking "man that was easier than it would have been in the boat", and the locations/orientation of the clamps came to mind- so... i spent that last hour arranging them where they'll be easier to access once it's planted, if i ever have to.
