I may ask to borrow your small child to get in there to change the duct :) - I got the duct, just cannot get me in there.

@goalie59 what's the size of those props?  I'm just curious.  My B-2 drives, I have 19.5" dia 4 blades.

They are 24 inch diameter by 22 pitch

it’s possible. i didn’t think i could do it but was able to reach without use of small children. I don’t even think my 10 year old could fit through that door!

Hey Simcoe Rinker 400. When you were detailing your hull did you notice any very fine hairline cracks in the gel coat. My 410 has quite a few running from the rub rail down. I had heard that they are common on the larger Rinkers.

Are they where the sling would be placed?  I know in my marina a couple 410/420s that have them where the sling goes.  For some reason, I've seen that hull have them around where the sling goes.  I was told it was ok and just cosmetic.  I've gotten lucky and really don't have much on mine yet.

My 370 has them too.  Agree with @Dream_Inn it's a cosmetic issue.

Dream. They are worse on the port side about 1/3 of the way up from the stern. I just had never noticed them on my 320.

    Very nice @Corral42 !!
I noticed an oil stain under your port drive, hopefully that’s old or not from you?

Antifreeze when I lifted the drives to clean. I stopped abruptly Sunday when the detailer showed up. I have them all ready for the outdrive paint.

Yesterday I hooked up the batteries, painted the drives and installed new anodes. I have new caps and rotors to install. I have a new starboard steering pump coming, Last season I had a slow leak into the bilge when the engine is running. I’ve checked everywhere for the leak and can find it. I changed the lines, the cooler is dry and the actuator is dry. There’s wiring under the cooler and actuator so I would definitely know if they were leaking, everything is dry. The only place I can see a little wetness is at the pump. Figured that’s the only thing left.

@aero3113 why not just install a shorter belt and bypass the pump?

Yes. Replacing a pump that does nothing but circulate it’s own fluid. I had to do that years ago too.

I added an amp and 2 speakers to my sound system on my 410. Speakers are for the swim platform.  I previously put a Fusion stereo and remotes in it so I added these on a separate zone.

Last week installed both batteries and installed the seawater pump with the new impeller. Today got a call from the shop saying they tracked down a cone clutch but he has to buy it retail from another shop since they are so scarce so he said it would be an extra $150 or so. So tonight buffed and waxed port side below the rub rail. Still have to do the rest but only have 1 week left to get it done and weather has not cooperated

Those Fusion decks with different zones are nice.

    How’s it sound out back?

    Hi  Goalie59

Yeah, I have the Rinker Gelcoat Cracks.  When I talked to the old dealer.  What he was telling me our vintage of boats they put to thick of a gel coat which caused the cracking that looked like stress cracks but was not.  My 342 had them also.  The 360 and 370 in the marine have a few also.   It's a Rinker thing.

Installed a new overhead TV today onto the hardtop.  Android-based with Bluetooth so it can play through the Radio as it didn't have pre-outs for the built-in AMP.  Turned out really good.
