Here's mine because its slow lol.

My old boat had closed cooling like you do and the replacement housing backs were $$$. I was going to have the face of the housing back milled flat but sold the boat first.

I designed this suction cup mount for positioning my dinghy alongside the boat. The white plate will mount permanently on the dinghy (I have two, one for each side) and the bracket is removable with the two wire pins. Theoretically it should hold the dinghy off the boat while allowing it to articulate with the waves and during boarding.

Can’t wait to test it out!

    Nice work.  Powder-coated?

You bet. Will likely add some sort of foam (pool noodle?) or maybe a rubber coating to the bars so it’s a bit more marine friendly.

When do you go into full-rate production?  All you need is a manufacturer and an e-commerce website.   ;)

I got the idea here: https://thehookcups.com/ and https://www.suctionup.com/

Labor costs are insane up here. Could never make the math work. But it was fun.

For safe measure, I would tie a line also (just in case).

I would like to see how you are mounting the plate on the dinghy.  For me, I just use a line off the weaver davit.  If it’s rough I’ll use it with a piece of pvc that I use as a spacer (when it’s on platform).  I like the idea maybe to use with my cleaning raft/platform while I’m waxing the boat on the lift.

The plate will be bolted under the seat - the slight bend is to allow it to extend out beside the seat above the tube.

Direct drive.  Big diesels and big nibral wheels.

Direct drive tells me fly or trawler. Diesel”s” tells me likely fly…..

No more hints for you!!  We started the hull survey yesterday and will finish today.  The engines will be surveyed Tuesday, and then it's decision time.  So far, we have a list of findings, but no deal-breakers.

It has to be big to take  24 hours to do a hull survey inspection

So I assume you are in FL helping with the survey?  I still think you better ride her back up the coast!  No better way to learn and break in a new boat!  Good luck!

Tired of water that leaks in through the swim platform cleats pooling in a low spot so I filled it.

The vacuflush timer is perfect. This is how it should have came from the factory. Pressing the button powers the vacu pump for a 5 minute interval. No more worries about the pump running all week when I forget to switch the breaker off and I’m not at the boat.
