    Start of gauge re do..i like the black..but screwd up and the tach has no hour meter. Can i add vv mobil and use both?

    @rasbury if you started off with a new hour meter it would start off at 0, the hours don’t transfer over from the computer.

    Washed, waxed. Water tank full.  Engine test ran. New water pump. Half of the trailer bearings serviced, the rest will be done next week.  Now waiting on laundry to finish to put in fresh sheets/lake clothes.

    Yesterday I finished the buffing at the stern so all done, touched up bottom paint, put lines and fenders on ready for launch with tires up to pressure on the trailer. A few more things to do but she can go in now, later this week I hope. Big challenge is the port rotor change - screws rusted in. Starboard cap and rotor changed, cap off port okay but may have to be creative with the rotor removal.

    @Ian can you cut a slot on the screws with a Dremel then use a flathead screwdriver?

    I've had good luck with finding a proper fitting screw driver and giving it a good couple firm taps on the end before trying to unscrew.  This is after soaking for a few days with your favorite brand rust penetration

    So I can I use mobile vessel view along with the gauges, assume it will read ecm engine hours?

    That’s an option. We have a great mechanic at the club and he said he’ll get it out.

    My absolute favorite tool!  I keep mine in my van, so I have it home and at my boat. & it goes with me on boat trips.  (yes, I should just buy another)

    I was talking about the kind that you hit with a hammer.  The impact cuts a deeper groove in the head of the fastener, and twists it at the same time.

    oh ok.  I have two of those!  Very useful indeed!  Just the cheap harbor freight work well.

    I changed the impeller and coupler on my 5ECD generator. I highly recommend the tie wrap trick to help install the impeller. In the last pic, you can see the coupler hiding behind the pump if anyone was wondering where it’s located.
