I also dont understand the following people: non boat owners, people who sell their diesel boat for a dumb rv but stay on a boat website😉, flyers fans, pats fans, NBA fans, Eagles fans, pats fans, dodge owners, people who post what they eat on social media, people who watch American idol, people who watch survivor and people who buttom shirts  top to bottom, people who like bed bath and beyond.
Wait a minute, you didn't mention Clemson fans!?!?!  Aren't you the one that hates them? (maybe I got confused with someone else on here)

Aside from fish folk, April and most of May are not good boating on Lk Michigan. 41F water = 41F air. Freeze your ar$e off out there. Go for it if ya want. lol. Just started launching boats in my area this week. Funny how nobody protested their rights to the water ways a few years ago when the lakes were still froze in May.

Yes i hate clemson and their fans.  I boat just minutes from their stadium.  Home games bring idiots to the water.

I had to mention the pats twice😂

@Black_Diamond - so true.  I'll admit I love being one of the first in the harbor April 1st...but I'm not complaining one bit that it's May this year.

A customer of mine, I believe he's in his 50s was diagnosed with covid 19 and has been hospitalized with complications compounded by his pre-existing conditions.   His boss came in to pay on the account and said he'd been in the hospital since Friday.

One of my customers came in that had it...he was not hospitalized but it was as sucker than anything he had ever dealt with...lost 20 lbs...

I don’t even know anyone who has been diagnosed with it.

I know 5. 2 have died. Not close friends or anything but know the families. Yes, one was older and had heart trouble, but without the virus he likely had many more years in front of him. His youngest grandchild will never know him.

The county i live/work in has a population of a little over 500k

My bosses wife is on the respiratory floor where covid patient's are being treated. One of a few local hospitals. As all elective surgeries have been postponed there is an abundance of staff to cover that floor, and other floors in case this pandemic causes strains on housing patients.

They have 8 total patients on the entire floor.  She went home early and will have more time off.

DHEC is still posting more and more positive cases locally as independent labs have been back logged and the positive cases are from as much as more than a month ago.

Another guy i know was diagnosed with covid 19. They would not give him a test as he had no pre existing health conditions.  He's 6ft 4, about 400 lbs and 38. Hes at risk off heart disease and diabetes!!!

They diagnosed him based on symptoms.  Tests were being saved for the at risk or elderly.

He is past his quarantine of 2 weeks, he starts work at the shop Monday.

Better think twice before you have him at the shop till it’s a confirmed + or - . @PickleRick I know how you feel but take it from a New Yorker don’t take it lightly.

He already did his 14 days of quarantine, ended about 2 weeks ago.  He's good to go.

Had a regular customer who tested positive for tuberculosis in the shop a month ago.

We have a close family friend that had tested negative, a couple days later he passed away. Confirmed heart attack due to complications of Covid-19. Something you don’t want to take lightly. We have another family friend that’s been on a respirator for the past 3 weeks due to Covid-19. People are testing negative but falling ill only days later.

I get the 2nd amendment and all that but as someone from outside looking in all I can say is WTF?
Notice how they're all wearing masks? It wasn't for virus protection. They were too scared to be identified. Or maybe they thought it made them look bada$$....

Being that his 14 days of quarantine ended about 2 weeks ago i don't think his employment starting Monday is a risk.  The hundred or so customers we deal with daily are a far greater, yet necessary, risk for spreading any given virus.

Like i said before, i had a long time customer come in and after hacking a few times gingerly announced he was being treated for tuberculosis.  That is a 100% proven airborne spread virus that still kills millions annually despite being around for over a century, while it is treatable it's still much worse % wise for children while with covid 19 children are a very rare casualty.

So far the only good part of the virus had been the reduction of road traffic.  Greenville has boomed since i started driving back in 1995-6, the gas prices are now about what they were in the early 2000s.

My work commute is nearly 10 min less.

Right on. Where'd you see that @YYZRC?
Edit: Oops, never mind, just caught it on the news. Nice. Now I have to figure out when I can get in and do the work I need to do before they float me.  Apparently our marina is going to take bookings for one hour increments for two people at a time to go in and prep. Gonna be a horror show. I may not get all my waxing and cleaning done before splash, but there's a nasty gas in the gel coat (I think caused by the marina at haul out, but can't prove it) that I want to fix as it's near the water line and I have to get my batteries in and pull the tarps and get canvas up. Just those things are usually about 2 to 3 hours.

That makes no sense - it takes me an hour to unload my car! Is your boat stored inside? Mine is and I’m hoping they move it out onto a cradle ASAP. I need them to install my bow thruster already!  :/

a lot of the armed morons were from out of state.

Frankly most people are good with the current restrictions. Sure everyone would love presto back to normal. Boating is back open, golf too now. Lawn & garden stuff back in business too. Slowly opening up stuff.

In some respects business/corporations have their own rules about limiting people at work. Our corporate rules limiting people in our facilities overrides any government rules anyways. That’s global too.

A meat processing place a few miles from me has over 100 COVID-19 cases alone. Let these people and those exposed go wandering about and it will be very easy to overwhelm the smaller hospitals in my area. Plus we get loads of Chicago folk our way for their summer lake front “cottages” (aka multi-million dollar homes).

We have a foster farms processing facility in our little town and of all the county cases they make up about a third of them. We only have about 40 cases currently though.
